Within the framework of the Global Initiative for Cancer Registry Development (GICR), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and partners have established a new IARC GICR Collaborating Centre in Côte d’Ivoire.
This newest IARC GICR Collaborating Centre was officially inaugurated on 1 December and is housed at the Registre des Cancers d’Abidjan within the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Treichville, Côte d’Ivoire.
Drawing on the registry’s technical expertise, the Collaborating Centre will deliver training in data collection, analytical methods, and the use of IARC’s CanReg5 software for all French-speaking countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
