Plus d'informations
The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), in collaboration with the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR), has published the latest volume of the International Incidence of Childhood Cancer series. International Incidence of Childhood Cancer, Volume III (IICC-3) presents the latest available data on new cases of childhood cancer around the world in a standardized form, along with a description of the methods and the context of data acquisition.
IICC-3 provides comparable incidence data, classified according to the International Classification of Childhood Cancer, third edition, 2017 update. This new volume has a wider coverage than the previous volumes, presenting the high-quality data produced by 308 population-based cancer registries operating in 82 countries and territories. The periods covered range mostly from 1990 to 2012. The age range considered includes adolescents (the age group 15–19 years) for the first time in the series. Condensed material is presented in the book, while additional tables, representing a total of 515 datasets, are available online only.
IICC-3 is a unique source of information, presented in a form adapted to the cancer patterns observed in childhood populations. It will be of great use to researchers, policy-makers, health-care planners, and advocates.
