Online learning resources on breast cancer and cervical cancer screening now available in Russian

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce the launch of freely available online learning resources on breast cancer and cervical cancer screening in an additional language: Russian. These translations were prepared in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe.

The Atlas of Breast Cancer Early Detection is a step-by-step guide to the procedure of clinical breast examination and its interpretation, diagnostic mammography, diagnostic breast ultrasound, image-guided fine-needle aspiration cytology, and core biopsy of the breast. It includes nearly 1000 freely available annotated images and videos and 186 case studies. It is a substantial resource for general practitioners, nurses, radiology and pathology technicians, surgeons, gynaecologists, radiologists, and pathologists involved in the detection of various benign and malignant breast conditions. The availability of this atlas in Russian provides additional support for the WHO Global Breast Cancer Initiative.

The Atlas of Colposcopy: Principles and Practice is a digital resource to train students, nurses, and gynaecologists, especially in resource-limited low- and middle-income countries. It is a valuable learning tool for students as well as practitioners of colposcopy and the management of cervical neoplasias. The atlas offers a wide range of digital resources to help those involved in diagnosing or treating cervical cancer or precancerous lesions. It includes videos, case studies, and quizzes. This atlas supports the WHO Cervical Cancer Elimination Initiative.
