The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) recently published a new volume in the seminal IARC Scientific Publication series, Statistical Methods in Cancer Research. This new volume, which outlines approaches for the evaluation of biases in case–control and cohort studies used for cancer hazard identification, is available for free download in PDF format.
A webinar will be held on 29 January 2025, at 16:00–17:30 CET, to introduce the new volume to the scientific community. Register for the webinar to find out more about the book from the lead authors.
The webinar will feature individual presentations by the authors of the book, who will review the motivations for and salient features of the various approaches for bias assessment and its incorporation into evidence synthesis for cancer hazard identification, as outlined in the book. The webinar will conclude with a moderated discussion among the authors and editors of the book. The webinar will be valuable to anyone who is interested in applying the methods described in the book.
