Dr Iacopo Baussano, the leader of the Public Health Decision Modelling Team in the Early Detection, Prevention, and Infections Branch of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), introduces an IARC-led project taking place in Armenia – the first study of its kind in the country. The project is a field study of the prevalence of infection with human papillomavirus (HPV) in Armenia. The results will help local public health officials and medical professionals to target HPV infection and control cervical cancer. In the video, representatives of partner institutions, a local physician, and a study participant also share their perspectives.
